Lloyd Church of the Nazarene held its very first service on October 16, 1983, as a church plant from Wurtland Church of the Nazarene. From the very beginning, the church was built on faith, prayer, and a desire to share the love of Jesus with the community of Lloyd and beyond.

A well-loved story from those early days tells of someone pulling up during the move into the building and saying, “You won’t last six months.” Over 40 years later, God has proven otherwise—and we’re still going strong.

Since that first Sunday, our church has grown through seasons of joy, challenge, and transformation. We are currently blessed to be led by our seventh pastor, continuing a legacy of faithful preaching, loving community, and heartfelt worship. Through every chapter, Lloyd Church has remained committed to making Christlike disciples and serving the people of Greenup County and beyond.
