"Raising up a generation that knows Jesus, lives in community, and leads as the Church—wherever they are."
Join us for our annual Friendsgiving event on Sunday November 23rd, following the morning worship service. We will hang out, eat food, and play some games until around 3:00p.m. We will then head over to the Happy Pot in Portsmouth, OH to decorate Christmas ornaments together.
(If you plan on painting an ornament, please bring $10, or let Zach or Emily know in advance)
Following ornament decorating, we will come back to the church for our annual Candlelight Thanksgiving Service at 6:00p.m.
Zach and Emily Spears both grew up attending Lloyd Church of the Nazarene and have been part of the church family for most of their lives. Shortly after graduating high school, they began volunteering with the youth group and discovered a shared passion for investing in the next generation. In October 2021, they officially stepped into leadership of our youth ministry. With hearts for discipleship and a deep love for teens, Zach and Emily strive to create a welcoming space where students can grow in faith, build meaningful relationships, and experience the love of Christ.
The Youth Council is made up of youth group members who are committed to serving their peers and supporting the mission of our youth ministry. Their purpose is to foster spiritual growth among teens by helping plan events, organize fundraisers, and create meaningful opportunities to connect and grow in faith. Everything they do reflects our youth group’s mission: "Raising up a generation that knows Jesus, lives in community, and leads as the Church—wherever they are."
